Walk slowly and notice the region’s everyday character.
A relaxed heritage hill station with forest trails, viewpoints and access to Khajjiar and Chamba.

Dalhousie is a compact hill station spread across forested ridges in Chamba district. Its appeal lies in old churches, quiet walking roads, deodar forest and easy excursions to Dainkund, Kalatop and Khajjiar. Gandhi Chowk is the practical centre, while Bakrota and the upper roads suit slower walks. Travellers should allow realistic driving time for Chamba and other longer excursions.
