Kangra Airport at Gaggal is roughly 20–22 km from McLeod Ganj. The uphill transfer can take longer during peak traffic.
Pathankot Cantt, roughly 90 km away, is the practical broad-gauge railhead. Limited narrow-gauge trains serve the Kangra Valley but require an onward road transfer.
McLeod Ganj is about 6 km uphill from lower Dharamshala. Buses and taxis connect the towns, while central parking is limited during busy periods.
